About NEBOSH-IGC

The NEBOSH International General Certificate course in Occupational Health and Safety is suitable for Managers, Supervisors and Safety Management Responsibilities making day-to-day decisions at work that need a broad understanding of health and safety issues and be able to manage risks effectively.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a valuable foundation for further professional study (such as the NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety , Oil and Gas Certificate)

A Fulltime block release course would be expected to last for a minimum of Two weeks (Ten Working Days)

Entry Requirements :

There are no specific barriers, in terms of academic qualifications, skills or experience to entry to the NEBOSH International General Certificate programme.

The typical people who would benefit from this qualification include:

  • Others with a need to understand health , safety and the environment in process industries

How is it Assessed ?

The modern qualification combines activities, learning and interactive materials to provide you with an interesting and engaging experience. It focuses on key skills that means you can instantly apply the knowledge you gain and add value to you organisation.

Assessment is a three-step process:

  • An open Book Examination to assess what you know - IG1 supplied with a Scenario Based question paper to be answered within 24 Hrs of time and uploaded to NEBOSH.
  • A practical risk Assessment to assess what you can do at an Industry or Site or Work Environment regarding organisation Health and Safety Practices are implemented, Provisions Provided, Safe and Unsafe Practices, Timescale for implementation and improvement, Who is responsible for the activities of general HSE practices – IG2 to be completed within 02 Weeks of time after Submission of IG1 Exam with the Risk Assessment form supplied by NEBOSH.
  • A closing Interview will be completed within 07 days of submission of IG2 Risk Assessment on the IG1 Examination submitted by an Assessor to know how the understanding of the Learners Understanding and his idea of the given scenario and interpretation.

Candidates needs to pass all two units within a five year period to achieve the overall qualification.

Certification:

Certification is awarded to the candidates who achieve a minimum of “ PASS” standard in both IG1 and IG2.

Qualification Parchment :

Once a candidate has achieved a pass in all two units and the qualification grade awarded they are normally considered to have completed the qualification.

An overall qualification parchment will be issued within 40 working days or 7 Weeks of time.

Fee :

Indian Rupees of ₹ 50,000/- ( Inclusive of 18% GST)
